Overview

A healthy clean environment is everyone’s responsibility. That’s why Global Directories, publishers of the Cayman Islands Yellow Pages®, is going green in partnership with: BB&P, Books & Books, Camana Bay, Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce, Foster’s Food Fair, GreenFiber, Hurley’s, Kirk Supermarket, LIME, Lemmies Trucking Services, NCI Services, Subway, Thompson Line, Vision Marketing and WestStar TV.

Just like last year, this green programme aims to recycle outdated and extra phone books. The goals remain the same; to keep outdated phone books from ending up in the local landfill and to increase awareness about recycling in the Cayman Islands.

With distribution of the new Cayman Islands Yellow Pages scheduled for October 2011, November is the perfect time to kick-off this exciting recycling initiative in tandem with the distribution. This means we can recycle outdated phone books before they get disposed of.

The recycling programme will run in Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac for a period of approximately three weeks, beginning Tuesday November 15th through Saturday December 3rd. We were impressed with last year’s totals, but we’re challenging our residents to step it up and make this year recycling programme an even greater success!
